This is a particularly powerful wireless gas sensor. Can collect data on the concentration, temperature, and humidity of phosphine in the environment, and closely monitor whether there are any changes in the data. At the same time, it can transmit data so that we can know the on-site situation at any time.

 

It uses powerful LoRa wireless technology, which allows sensors and other devices to transmit signals to each other over long distances. In addition, the three electrode electrochemical gas detection probe inside works together with a high-performance "data processing chip": the probe is specifically responsible for accurately measuring the concentration of phosphine, and the chip is like a fast reacting brain, responsible for quickly processing this data.

 

This is a specially designed instrument for measuring phosphine gas, which can immediately detect even a small amount of phosphine in the air. At the same time, it also carries temperature and humidity measuring parts on its body, which can always know whether the surrounding environment is cold or hot, and how humid it is. In addition, it has a special temperature sensing device that can adjust the measurement results according to temperature changes. Regardless of whether the weather is freezing cold or scorching hot, the measured concentration of phosphine is accurate.

 

This sensor is particularly sensitive, as long as there is slightly more or less phosphine gas in the air, it can immediately detect it. When measuring data, it is also particularly "meticulous", even if the changes are very small, they can be accurately measured. And it is very "reliable" and not easily affected by the clutter around it. Even if the environment is particularly complex, it can continue to work normally without making mistakes.

 

A safety value can be set in advance based on the on-site situation. As long as the detected concentration of phosphine gas is higher or lower than this number, it will immediately "report" so that we can take measures as soon as possible.

What is the explosive limit of phosphine? How to use LEL to indicate the degree of danger

When phosphine is mixed with air to a certain concentration, it will explode when exposed to an open flame, and this explosive concentration range is called the explosive limit. For example, the lower explosive limit (LEL) of phosphine is 1.85%, and the upper limit is 26%. When the concentration of phosphine in the air reaches 1.85% LEL, it belongs to the "lowest hazardous concentration that can explode", and the higher the concentration, the more dangerous it is.

 

How to convert the LEL and VOL% concentrations of phosphine

To convert, we need to know that the lower explosive limit of phosphine is 1.85% VOL (i.e. 100% LEL=1.85% VOL). For example, when 20% LEL is detected, the actual concentration is 1.85% VOL x 20%=0.37% VOL. The formula can be written as: VOL% concentration=LEL percentage x 1.85%.

 

How to convert the concentration units of phosphine from ppm to mg/m ³

Both ppm and mg/m ³ can represent concentration. When converting, the molecular weight of phosphine (34) should be used, and the formula is approximately: mg/m ³=ppm × 34 ÷ 22.4. For example, converting 10ppm phosphine to mg/m ³ is 10 × 34 ÷ 22.4 ≈ 15.18mg/m ³, which facilitates checking whether the concentration exceeds the standard under different standards.

 

What is the safe concentration of phosphine in the work environment?

Answer: In order to ensure safety, the concentration of phosphine in workshops and other workplaces should generally not exceed 0.3ppm (approximately 0.45mg/m ³). If the concentration exceeds this value, it is necessary to ventilate or evacuate quickly, as phosphine is not only flammable but also highly toxic, and excessive inhalation can harm health.
